I've been playing this game for so long, i continuously see people fcing songs like HOWWW/`1/1"!?!?!?!?! :c ive been trying to fc dark sheep for YEARS and its not that im bad now ive gotten so much better and TRULY believe i can fc it but I KEEP GETTING GHOST TAPS :ccccc PLS anyone know anything WHAT SO EVER that i can do about this :,)

throughout the course of robeats history, 70 different artists have been added to the game. there are also hundreds of songs in robeats, which means people are guaranteed to find at least one that will be their favorite. some artists are more popular than others, and even though my opinion will do absolutely nothing to make certain artists be perceived in a better or worse light, i thought it would be fun to list. note this ranking includes artists that actually show up when you click on "artists" in game. with that out of the way, i will explain my opinions in as much detail as i can. keep in mind this only counts artists in game as of december 21st, 2024. i am NOT redoing this to include snail's house yet.

70. k*nro

with the amount of allegations against them, this is a given. i mean, do i really have to list them all? no amount of seperating art from artist could possibly convince me to change my ranking here. i'd have to say the only song i enjoy from their discography in game is save me, but even then the vocal chops aren't particularly my style.

69. g*oxor

unlike k*nro, i can actually seperate art from artist at least a little bit here. i don't know how to explain it, so i'll just say i actually enjoyed more than one song from them before the allegations. moonlight was (was is the keyword here) was a specific favorite of mine, because i actually knew it outside of robeats.

68. kawai sprite

i already don't really like fnf songs, so spotco adding them to robeats to make a quick buck off of a trend felt like it was in poor taste to me. also, fnf is not for kids, even though it's clearly targeted towards them through the artstyle.

67. make a cake

i have no comments. in all honesty, this was a forgettable event with forgettable songs.

66. haywyre

insight on it's own is actually a decent song, and i like it enough to listen to it without complaints. what i do not like is the fact spotco encouraged the community to make like ten remixes of the song to cash off of the hype train, similarly to fnf. at least we have the flynt remix.

65. nekodex

all i have to say is i wish there was more to nekodex's selection of songs than their christmas osu songs. i do like carol of the circles more than the rest, but that's about it.

64. bslick

i don't mind the songs, but they're not really rhythm game material to me.

63. hyper potion

it's really unfortunate hyper potion is this low on the list. to me, out of all the controversial artists in the game, their songs are the most enjoyable, and i actually find a few fun to play, not to mention it was a duo, so seperating art from artist makes even more sense here.

62. atsuover

most atsuover songs are fnf songs, and those have died out. i'm fine with bird feeder and the vocal version of good enough, but i can't see myself playing the rest of them.

61. just dance

i can't lie, i don't really care for these songs. that's all i'll say. i feel like they should have stayed exclusive to just dance. do robeats players even care about them?

60. tobu

i have found new tastes over the years. i'm open to giving all the artists in this game a listen, so don't take this as me hating tobu. i just like other artists more.

59. keisei

while i do like the fact there is an entire artist dedicated to hatsune miku songs, i feel a little bit disappointed by some of the songs.

58. maliboux

for the most part, i don't really care for their songs, but they also made a good mashup for the 6th anniversary event, so there's that.

56. slynk

i don't find their songs bad, but they are not my favorite songs in the game by any means.

55. nash music library

hold me magic is still by far their best song in my opinion.

O-oooooooooo AAAAE-A-A-I-A-U- JO-oooooooooooo AAE-O-A-A-U-U-A- E-eee-ee-eee AAAAE-A-E-I-E-A-JO-ooo-oo-oo-oo EEEEO-A-AAA-AAAA no seriously, they only have one song (two if you count the cranky remix of brain power) so there's virtually nothing to go off of.

an artist with five million subscribers in robeats is something that's actually crazy to me. i don't hate their songs, i just don't particularly care about them one way or the other in robeats.

the only reasons i still remember they exist is the similar outskirts no stopping us remix and the controversy behind the lover's oasis cover art.

i'm tempted to tie them and coda here on my rankings, because they are pretty similar, but i just like coda's songs better than fusq's.

i actually like some of their songs, but they are quite forgettable, and we have yet to see anything else from them.

49. sound space

again, i like some sound space songs, but the actual event between sound space and robeats was so tedious i can't think of sound space in robeats without thinking of robeats in sound space.

48. project skylate

all i can say is nepu nepu nepu will get very annoying very fast, and these songs are kind of just there.

47. emocosine

emocosine has grown on me, so this placement makes enough sense. their songs in game being very in your face and the overexposure of them in robeats soured my opinion on them pretty much right away, but some of their songs in game are decent if you can get past that.

46. rutra

i find it funny that the robeats community wanted a rutra rerun and then they didn't even like it.

45. nanobii

i was really hyped for rainbow road to be added to the game, and on top of that, all i want and 2nite are good as well.

44. monstercat

regardless of your opinion on them, we should be giving monstercat a lot of credit for singlehandedly providing over seven percent of all robeats songs, and that's not including songs in their label that aren't credited as such. that is not a small amount of songs by the way.

43. you

you songs are not that bad, but they suffer pretty much the same fate as most artists added to robeats in 2024, where only five of their songs are added to the game, and if they're lucky, the five songs are a good introduction to the artist. also lolly is fire in my opinion.

42. aaaa

i heard good things about their songs, but they seem too similar to chroma songs for me to rank them any higher. i will say something i do like. i like that kang-fu neko punch is a chinese-style song, as robeats doesn't really acknowledge asian countries outside of japan and korea most of the time. i will reference this a few times later.

41. halv

in my opinion, halv songs are too similar to other artists such as brz and emocosine, but the songs added were a decent selection to add, especially considering that it was a limited selection, as songs like khronostasis katharsis and concvssion are exclusive to other rhythm games like phigros.

40. hinkik

i forgot to put them in the initial ranking. skystrike is my personal favorite from them, though.

39. arforest

they're underrated. i feel like the robeats community doesn't give certain artists the recognition they deserve.

38. halfduck

why are their songs so quiet in game? i actually don't understand why that's the case. (the soulless 5 cover is a banger.)

37. james landino

i like the gaming style that is present in their songs, even though i haven't played most of the games said songs are referencing.

36. se-u-ra

i absolutely refuse to let nostalgia cloud my view of artists or songs, especially when i wasn't around for when the licensing era happened. fight me. also some of their songs go hard.

ai bomb is good, but it doesn't need seven or eight different remixes. that's my only complaint about their songs, there are too many ai bomb remixes, and i'd actually recommend some of their other songs.

oh yeah they're in robeats... nah i'm joking. they have songs that are fun for me to listen to and it helps that most of their charts are fun to play.

similarly to emocosine, they have grown on me. i'm not a big fan of their songs, but they're good enough, especially when they're not mapped by someone very unlikable. freedom dive is an obvious exception though due to overexposure, even though it's not too bad.

what happened to featuring community artists in robeats? the fact they're tied for 36th place in a video where 62 other people ranked robeats artists is wild. they make bangers, and i even feel like i'm not doing them enough justice by only ranking them 32nd here.

the songs are fire. the maps on the other hand, have some of the most questionable, down horrendous gameplay i have seen in my entire life. i also want to mention that i do like how despite japan and (south) korea making up the vast majority of artists and songs in game, there is still representation of asian countries outside of those two in robeats in one way or another.

aside from holography being mapped by the same unlikable xi mapper, they actually have good songs in game.

if spotco was making this ranking, synthion would be at number one, with emocosine and seatrus in second and third. i like synthion, but not as much as spotco does.

tv room is in the top 30 out of 70. are the glazers happy? on a serious note, you either love or hate tv room with almost no inbetween. i am the inbetween. i like tv room songs, but i'm not what i would call a "glazer."

27. yooh

spotco fumbled atena's difficulty. aside from that, yooh is also another decent addition to robeats, even though their songs don't particularly stand out, which isn't necessarily the worst things, especially because some of their songs are pretty fire, and energy of the star is fun to play, because the mappers actually cared about it.

26. brz1128

i find some of their songs fun, and in terms of when they were added to robeats, they were halv before it was cool. some of their songs are also fun to play.

25. laur

i don't really care what people say about this ranking. they are a mixed bag to me in robeats, and even though they aren't my favorite artist, they still have good tracks like system error and afflict. i also thought i would place them lower here for some reason.

we have yet to see any more than six songs from them, but i believe they are good picks.

23. t+pazolite

i actually think this is a good spot to put them. remember when i was talking about how robeats mostly doesn't acknowledge asian countries outside of japan and korea, and how i'll reference it later? i'll reference it here. i like how kowloon of the kijoh uses a similar chinese style to kang-fu neko punch. i also referenced this when ranking egg yolk.

22. kepoworld

fun fact: kepoworld was one of the first artists i discovered in robeats, and i guess i just liked their songs ever since then. it really is a shame that kepoworld is essentially lost media now.

21. undead corporation

i would hope people have conditioned themselves to realize everything will freeze isn't their only song.

20. bossfight

i like their songs in game, but i can't lie when i say they would be in my top 10 if more of their older songs were used. i guess i'm just used to their songs that are used in games outside of robeats, but i can live with these.

19. reku mochizuki

i really don't know how this artist placed so low in the community rankings. i personally enjoy most of their songs.

18. hyun

most of their songs are good additions to robeats in my opinion. i just find them fun to listen to.

17. 7eaf

the full version of calamity fortune is very bad. however the rest of their songs are good. i would hope they're doing okay.

16. kagetora

with the exception of fractal construction (which is why i remapped it), i find their songs fun to play, and even then, fractal construction is a good song, but the map just disappoints me. i want to rank them and ardolf in the same placement, but the only reason i am not doing so because kagetora was recently added, and we have yet to see if spotco will add more of their songs.

15. ardolf

i enjoy their songs and i find them fun to play. i don't know how or why people tend to forget about them. dark dungeon sweep.

14. waterflame

this placement makes sense to me. i think spotco could add a few more songs to their selection in game though.

13. creo

i always thought of them, dimrain47, and waterflame as gd artists rather than robeats artists, but i am not complaining about it. they are all underrated everywhere except geometry dash, so the extra attention is always welcome.

12. team grimoire

i would really like if c18h27n03 was added, but that's likely owned by konami, so i can understand why it's not in robeats. again, i just simply find their songs fun.

i'd be more inclined to put them at number one if spotco added big daddy.

again, i like seatrus songs, but not as much as spotco does. if spotco saw these rankings, i would be banned from robeats permanently because out of emocosine, synthion, and seatrus, only seatrus is in the top 10.

there's absolutely more to silentroom than nhelv being mapped by someone unlikable. i am glad they have been getting more recognition.

one of the first new artists added in 2022, and a very based choice. they do make fire songs, even if i claim they sound like dentist tools.

they would admittedly be higher up (not that i can possibly put them much higher, considering this is the top 5) if more of their songs in-game used the more memorable parts, as it would attract a bigger audience.

3. kobaryo

my only complaint about them is that some of their songs get really annoying to listen to after enough time, but that's common in pretty much every song, so it's a given. aside from that, i really enjoy their songs.

2. juggernaut

there is so much you can do to change the artist name to sound funny it isn't nearly as funny as the renames i have used. nonetheless, pretty much all of their songs are fun to play, and equally fun to listen to.

1. kurokotei

i would hope people remember they have songs other than galaxy collapse and scattered faith. robeats really did a favor by adding several of their more obscure songs to the game and allowing people to discover more about their songs.

will probably have the vid out tomorrow. ill have to edit in audio cuz the recording was mute (and if it was unmuted youd hear katy perry since i muted robeats)

Anyway i'm making a form that asks pollers to rank songs from each artist. how it works is that you pick a song from each artist that you think is the best.

However, because some artists have way more songs than other artists, you can pick between multiple options for some of the artists (like for camellia, you can pick 5). This way, it will prevent voters from being split between multiple options. Options will scale primarily based on the number of song the artist has and a little bit based on their general popularity.

let's start with 2024 accomplishments:

• making a mashup of songs that's more enjoyable than the mashups in robeats

• critical divEr fc - too easy for a 33, but still, it's fun

• lapisalice fc - clearly a livium map, because there's a lot of hold notes

• sushi tornado and devotion s-ranks - i put these here because they're around the same in difficulty to me, and actually feel like 33s 😱

• revenant and energy of the star s-ranks - ofc i used accuracy gear for some of these. i am the champion of skill issues. both of these are fun maps and aren't extremely generic.

• getting 30+ likes on 2 npcs

• last attack fc and s-rank - these were seperate runs, and even though it's too easy for a 35, it's still a good map.

• having five maps of songs (except one of those is basically a joke map) in a robeats custom server

• nomissing the funny one-miss gimmick song "one"

• completing the hardest song roulette

• ap runs on kowloon of the kijoh and psyched fevereiro

• not focusing on robeats community drama

• s-ranking l-uxor.

goals for 2025:

• nomiss a difficulty 36

• get my first contender title (i don't know if i'll go further than that.)

• take a break from robeats at some point during the year, preferably for at least two weeks, i'll earn event points through assignments but that's about it. i don't even know if i'll collect daily rewards during any breaks i take from robeats.

• ap insight flynt remix because flynt is him. flynt is our god. flynt cat is the second best thing to grace this universe (first being astolfo). flynt is the holy messiah blessing this cursed land with his majestic and divine presence. flynt is love and life. flynt is the only reason i keep going. without flynt cat i am nothing and i am meaningless. the cover art for this song also made me shed a tear from how beautiful it is. this is, without a shadow of a doubt, the best beat+rush song and quite possibly the best song in the game. on god no kizzy no bias. on my mama, flynt is just built different. this is totally not obsession and i am just being as objective and reasonable as possible. flyntism is also the best religion, and i am proud there is finally a religion i can believe in and accepts me as one of their own. spotco is player hating on flynt by not adding a flynt loaf cat icon and flynt event. i will still keep coping and believing maybe one day my dream will come true. if you wonder why robeats is dying, this is why. our corporate overlord doesnt care about what we want to see as a community.

• s-rank atena cause i have yet to do that

• get an s-rank on a difficulty 37.

• Critical divEr (Hard) - Not a 33, but I do struggle 2nd half but next year will be my year to change that...

• Don't Stop The Rave (Hard) - FC - Finally FC'd it this year, also one of the achievements I wished for from last year's

• Last Judgement (Hard) - FC - Finally, after a while, I ironically did this during missions, and also became something I want to do from last year, same as DSTR.

• ATHAZA (Hard) - Tech FC - Map so bad it made me wanna play classic map instead, I don't know if I wanna do an actual FC on this, due to chokepoints everywhere.

• Last Attack (Hard) & galvanical onEshot (Hard) - Tech FC - Even though you haven't seen those runs, I done Tech FC's on both of those 35's. Reason I grouped them together is because they're both too easy for 35.

• Moonflutter (Hard) - FC - Long notes... but I did struggle at the 2nd half, but still good LN map.

• Evanescent (Hard) - FC - One of the 2021 maps being FC'd, tricky parts is beginning and the drop parts ngl.

• Happy Lucky ---> Injection!!! (Hard) - FC - I FC'd it during an event, and only tricky part are those bloody minijacks.

• Fractal Construction (Hard) - AP - Literally AP'd it 1st try on hard mode, literally a disappointment of a stamina map.

• Mhnmtbr (Hard) - AP - Just an AP run on a 25. Feels easy to do it because the song is short.

• Pixel Heart (Hard) - FC - A 33 that's long and takes a long while to go through.

• Lapisalice (Hard) - FC - A 31 that is most definitely a Livium chart because of LNs.

Also, I don't think anyone would care, but I got my first champion in RoBeats.

The first champion I got was from a k**ro song...

Not that much achievements compared to last years but it is what it is.
