Artist Featuring Event

Overview[]

Featured artist events are weekly events that feature songs from a certain artist. It allows you to access and play songs from a certain artist, whether you have them or not. You can obtain event points for completing songs, which can be used to purchase certain rewards, such as event songs, dances, minis, stages and more.

Occasionally, during certain times of year, such as Christmas or Valentine's Day, there are special holiday events that feature songs from different artists.

The first featuring event was added on December 14th, 2020 which featured Monstercat.

Points[]

On September 6th, 2021, an update was added to event creating a points and reward system. Playing songs awards 1 point per 3 seconds of song length. You also can cheer someone playing an event song to give both players (the one playing the song and the one cheering them) 2 points.

Assignments[]

Assignments are a feature added to artist events on December 6th, 2024. They function as a way of passively gaining mini EXP, event points, and team contribution points.

Minis can be enrolled into songs within the event, as long as they share at least one element with the song. Assignments can be set to last 3, 6, or 12 hours, with 3 hour assignments yielding more event points, and 12 hour assignments yielding more mini EXP.

There are, however, some considerations:

Assigning minis with higher Gear Power will increase the total power and yield more rewards, as the total power is based on the sum of the Gear Power of the minis assigned.
Only one of each song and one of each mini can be assigned at a time.
Only 3 assignments can be active at a time.
Team contribution points are included in the 2,000 daily contribution point cap from missions.
If an assignment from one event is claimed in a future event, only mini EXP and team contribution points will be rewarded.

Trivia[]

Before the points system was released, you could get the normal version of the featured songs by playing it once. You could also get 5 Stars for getting all the songs in the featured artist.
The first Friday Night Funkin' event was the first to include hard songs; however, they could not be obtained from playing them.
- You could still get a copy of the hard version of a song through the reward roulette however.
The Chroma event was the first to include the points system.
Some events included NPCs (Creo, Camellia, Rutra, etc.) where hard songs could be played as challenges daily.
- However, this was changed so that the NPC is at the middle of the map, where you can play any songs from them.
On the points update release, there was a bug that allowed players to earn rewards from any song regardless if they were part of the feature. This was fixed shortly after.
The first garlagan event is the first batch to let Rush be the primary element on all songs that were featured on the batch.
- However, this is no longer the case since the second feat. garlagan event happened.
The ARForest batch is the first batch to let Flow be the primary or secondary elements on all songs that were featured on the batch.
The Poppy event was the first event to have an NPC dance with you, this also applied to Just Dance 2022 event and the Atsuover event.
- However, now every artist featured so far after the addition of minis have an NPC dancing with you.
The naruto2413 batch was the first batch to contain the event leaderboards, where a certain song from the batch is selected. You have to play it in order to enter. It can also win you event points based on your ranking on the leaderboard and functions that same with the normal leaderboard, except for the prizes as the event leaderboard only gain you event points, it was also the first one to contain the Beat element as primary or secondary elements.
The James Landino event was the first batch to have all songs have the 'Chill' element as a primary or secondary element.
The F-777 event was the first batch to have all the new songs (excluding Space Battle and Phantom, which came out before the event) have the 'Rush' element as a primary or secondary element.
The Just Dance! Batch is the only batch to have all the songs featured to be purely one element.
The Mini Box (1 Star) x3 price was formerly 3,250 Event Points.
